Collection and Recycling Arrangements in the Czech Republic

Under Act 352/2005 on the details of management of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), for equipment that you buy from AB SCIEX after August 13th 2005, AB SCIEX is required to provide arrangements for the collection, treatment, recycling and recovery of WEEE that your new purchase replaces, on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis. The old equipment that your new purchase from the AB SCIEX replaces is referred to as Historic WEEE.

Under Act 352/2005, AB SCIEX is also required to provide arrangements for the collection, treatment, recycling and recovery of any new electrical and electronic equipment that you buy from them after August 13th 2005, when that new equipment eventually becomes waste. This is referred to as New WEEE.

WEEE Reporting Recycling Data for AB SCIEX Equipment in the Czech Republic

Under Section 11 of Act 352/2005, AB SCIEX must provide annual information on the quantities and categories of electrical and electronic equipment put on the market, reused, recycled and recovered within the Czech Republic.   In the Czech Republic waste devices are handled by  RETELA s.r.o. collective scheme ( http://www.retela.cz/index.php) and the Czech Ministry has issued the following producer number 03071/12-ECZ to AB Sciex s.r.o.  (The registered company of ABSCIEX in the Czech Republic).

The first WEEE recycling report will cover the year 2011.  RETELA will prepare the recycling data report for AB SCIEX  and submit the information to the Czech Ministry .  Information in the recycling data report will be summarized on the AB SCIEX website when it becomes available.
